Dan Sartain first recorded this song as a title track for a 7" on Cass Records. This 7" also features two other tracks: Leeches 2 (we will talk about this one in a further article) and When You See Me Coming.
Gun vs. Knife was then re-recorded in a clean version with a drum intro and was added to the Join Dan Sartain LP tracklist.
The Gun vs. Knife 7" can still be found on ebay but it's sold out in regular stores. If you ask kindly I can send you the mp3.
